Lease renewal advice to a tenant where the lease is outside of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954

Our client was a well known internet aggregator who had a lease renewal where direct negotiations with an overseas landlord had failed.

We were tasked with negotiating the terms for a new lease on a more flexible basis to take account of the client’s future growth expectations.

Alongside this, an ambitious new rent had been quoted to the tenant which did not reflect market rental values.

We were ultimately successful in negotiating a more flexible lease to accommodate our clients operational needs whilst keeping the new rent to a less aggressive level.
